in Fairfield County since the 1970 Census, there's also
been an increased attention to 3rd generation's needs.

come 'of the moment.'

Below are a few relevant facilities all within a stone's
throw of you in Winnsboro and nearby towns. Those

RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITIES, HOSPICE
Of ultimate interest to all of us, residential care becomes an issue of "quality care", "location" and "administration."

FAIRFIELD COUNTY has several facilities within the immediate Winnsboro/Ridgeway area -- all staffed by caring professionals. As a NH volunteer, I can attest to both the pleasant atmosphere and attentive, care- giving by the nurses. I have seen first-hand what does and doesn't transpire and, not that I am emminently qualified to know everything "on the inside track" of skilled nursing facilities, I do know what makes for honest caring and more than cursory attention. Below are some of these facilities:

FAIRFIELD HOME & FAIRFIELD MANOR- Located at 117 Bellfield Rd., Ridgeway, SC (just 11 miles outside of Winnsboro on US Rte. 34), Phone: (803) 337-2257 or 337-2259. 24 Hour On-Duty Personnel, Skilled & Intermediate Care, Spiritual & Recreational Activities, Specialized Diets, Home-like Atmosphere, Spacious Grounds, Licensed Nursing Staff. Note: The author does volunteer work (manicures) here and I can vouch for the high level of care given here.
  • TANGLEWOOD HEALTH CARE CENTER - Located on Tanglewood Court, Ridgeway SC, Phone: (803) 337-3211. Offering pretty much the same as Fairfield Home & Fairfield Manor. They list Hospice Service as available and that they are Medicare & Medicaid Certified, which I'm certain all these facilities are.
  • WILLOW SPRINGS RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY - Located at Hwy 34 East on Willow Drive, Ridgeway SC, Phone: (803) 337-8701
Ditto the services on this listing.
  • VENCARE-TANGLEWOOD Located at Third Rd. Ridgeway SC, Phone: (803) 337-3908 - Ditto ? Services ?

    HOSPICE

While not located directly in Winnsboro itself, these Hospice agencies serve the Tri-county area and are just a short drive away.

HOSPICE CARE OF THE TRI-COUNTY - located at 2650 B Hardee Cove, Sumter SC, Phone: Toll Free 888-900-6334 or (803) 905-7730
